Q: Is the QuickBooks download the same as the regular product?
A: Yes. When you download QuickBooks, you get exactly the same QuickBooks software that comes on the CD-ROM. You just get it sooner! Plus, we send you the same resources and manuals found in the traditional package, at no additional charge. You do not need these items to install or use QuickBooks. Mailing them allows us to keep the download time to a minimum.
Q: What are the requirements to download QuickBooks?
A: You must have all three of the following to download QuickBooks:

Important: Customers with dial-up connections cannot download QuickBooks, due to the large file size.
Q: How long does it take to download QuickBooks?
A: Below are download file sizes and typical download times for cable and DSL modems. Actual download times will vary depending upon modem speed, Internet traffic, time of day, and other factors.

Q: What if I need to stop the download or the transfer is interrupted?
A: You can stop the download at any time by clicking the cancel button in the download status dialog box. Just click on the download link on the download page to re-start the download. Internet Explorer will resume downloading from where you left off — you don't have to start from the beginning.
Q: Can I get help if I encounter technical problems?
A: Yes. Call our technical support center at 877-406-1261 if you have any problems while downloading or installing QuickBooks. If you're not completely satisfied, you can take advantage of our 60-day, Money-Back Satisfaction Guarantee.
Q: What if my computer crashes or I buy a new computer?
A: You're covered. You can use the CD-ROM in the reinstall pack that we mail to you. Or you can return to the download page to re-download QuickBooks free of charge.
Q: How can I obtain a QuickBooks manual?
A: The manual is included in the reinstall pack, which we mail to you.

 The QuickBooks CD-ROM that we mail to you contains additional items (listed below) that are not included in the download file. You do not need to reinstall QuickBooks to use these items.

QuickBooks: Basic, Pro, or Premier — Internet Explorer 6.0, Online Backup Service (can also be downloaded from within QuickBooks), Sample Form Templates, Sample Letters, Sample Report Templates, QuickBooks Pro Timer (add-on to QuickBooks Pro only), Floppy Disk Timer Installer (creates a series of floppy disks to install the QuickBooks Pro Timer on additional computers).

 You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer at:

 Using QuickBooks requires 400 to 850 MB of free disk space, depending upon the edition. After installing QuickBooks, you can delete the installation program from your computer to free up disk space. Also, if you are installing QuickBooks: Basic, Pro, or Premier, the installer gives you the option to auto-delete the installation files. Choose this option to free up additional disk space.

Go to your desktop and double-click the My Computer icon (you may have given this icon a different name)
