System Requirements

Requirements for the computer that already has QuickBooks financial software:

QuickBooks Time Tracker will work with 2006 and later editions of QuickBooks Pro, Premier, or Enterprise Solutions. If you are using QuickBooks, it must be updated to the latest release.

  • To get the latest release, download and install it from this Web site: http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/productupdates.aspx.
  • With the latest release installed, you should now see Learn about Online Timesheets on the Enter Time menu on your QuickBooks Home page. If you do not see the Enter Time icon on the Home page, go to the Time Tracking section of your Preferences and make sure that you have indicated that your company does track time.

Requirements for employees and or vendors (contractors) who will use the online timesheet:

  • Internet access.
  • Use one of the following Web browsers: Internet Explorer 6.0 and later, Firefox 1.5 and later, Safari 3.0 and later.

Requirements for using Time Tracker for Microsoft Outlook

  • Windows Vista or Windows XP Service Pack 2 Operating Systems
  • 32-bit only
  • 500 megahertz (MHz) processor or higher
  • 512 megabytes (MB) RAM or higher
  • 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor
  • Microsoft Outlook 2002 (Office XP), 2003, or 2007.
