Having trouble with your QuickBooks Interactive Training?

Review the following technical problems and their resolutions to quickly get up and running on your training software.

If You Can't See the Table of Contents or Video Controls:

QuickBooks Interactive Training products require a screen resolution setting of at least 1024 x 768 pixels. If you cannot see the controls, your screen resolution may be smaller than 1024 x 768.

To adjust your screen resolution:

  1. Click the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
  2. Click the Displays icon in the Hardware pane.
  3. Click the Display button (if necessary).
  4. Select a Resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher.
Another possibility is your Dock is covering the training controls.



To change your Dock preferences:

  1. Click the Apple menu and select Dock > Dock Preferences.
  2. To reduce the size of the Dock icons, drag the Dock Size slider to the left.
  3. To hide the Dock when you are not using it, select Automatically hide and show the Dock.

If the Audio or Video Skips or topics "Freeze":

The training topics are optimized for use with QuickTime 7.0.0 or higher. You may experience unexpected results if you have an older version of QuickTime. To fix this, download and install the most current version of QuickTime:

  1. Open the QuickTime Player application.
  2. Click the QuickTime Player menu and select Update Existing Software.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the most current version of QuickTime.
