If You Can't See the Table of Contents or Video Controls:
Your Windows Display Setting may be set to use Large size (120 DPI). To adjust this:
Windows 7:
- Right click on your desktop and select Personalize
- At the bottom left, click on the Display link
- Select 100%
- Click Apply
- Click Log off now to save settings
- Log in to Windows to see your changes
Windows Vista:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize
- Beneath Tasks, select Adjust Font Size (DPI)
- Select Default scale (96 DPI)
- Click OK to save settings
- Restart the computer
Windows XP/Windows 2000:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Properties
- Click the Settings tab
- Click the Advanced button
- Click the General tab
- Click the DPI Setting drop-down list and select Normal fonts (96 DPI) for Windows XP and Small fonts (96 DPI) for Windows 2000.
- Click OK twice to save settings
- Restart the computer
If You Can't See the Training Controls at the Bottom of Your Screen:
QuickBooks Interactive Training products require a screen resolution setting of at least 1024 x 768 pixels. If you cannot see the controls, your screen resolution may be smaller than 1024 x 768. To adjust your screen resolution:
Windows 7:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Screen Resolution
- Click the Resolution drop-down list
- Increase the resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher
- Click OK
- Click Keep changes to save settings
Windows Vista:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize
- Towards the bottom, select Display Settings
- Make sure your Screen Resolution is set to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher
- Increase the resolution by clicking and dragging the slider to the right
- Click OK to save settings
Windows XP/Windows 2000:
- Right click on your desktop and select Properties
- Click the Settings tab
- Make sure your Screen Resolution is set to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher
- Increase the resolution by clicking and dragging the slider to the right
- Click OK to save settings
If the Audio or Video Skips:
Your Windows Hardware Acceleration is probably too high. To fix this:
Windows 7:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Screen Resolution
- Towards the right, select Advanced settings
- Click the Troubleshoot tab
- Select Advanced Settings
- Decrease Hardware Acceleration by clicking and dragging the slider to None
- Click OK to save settings
- Click Log off now to save settings (if prompted)
- Log in to Windows to see your changes
Windows Vista:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize
- Towards the bottom, select Display Settings
- Towards the right, select Advanced Settings
- Click the Troubleshoot tab
- Select Advanced Settings
- Decrease Hardware Acceleration by clicking and dragging the slider to None
- Click OK to save settings
- Restart the computer (if prompted)
Windows XP/Windows 2000:
- Right click on your desktop and select Properties
- Click the Settings tab
- Click the Advanced button
- Click the Troubleshoot tab
- Decrease Hardware Acceleration by clicking and dragging the Slider to "None"
- Click OK twice to save settings
If You Hear Audio but Don't See Video:
Windows 7:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Screen Resolution
- Select Advanced settings
- Click the Troubleshoot tab
- Select Advanced Settings
- Decrease Hardware Acceleration by clicking and dragging the slider to None
- Click OK to save settings
- Click Log off now to save settings (if prompted)
- Log in to Windows to see your changes
Windows Vista:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize
- Select Display Settings
- Towards the right, select Advanced Settings
- Click the Troubleshoot tab
- Select Advanced Settings
- Decrease Hardware Acceleration by clicking and dragging the slider to None
- Click OK to save settings
- Restart the computer (if prompted)

- Click OK twice to save settings
If You See Video but Don't Hear Audio:
Ensure your computer volume is loud enough and not set to "mute"
Windows 7:
- On the Windows Taskbar, click the Start Flag
- On the right, select Control Panel
- Click Hardware and Sound
- Beneath Sound, select Adjust system volume
- Adjust the volume to the appropriate level and ensure the mute button is toggled to off
- Return to the training
Windows Vista:
- On the Windows Taskbar, click the Start Flag
- On the right, select Control Panel
- Click Hardware and Sound
- Beneath Sound, select Adjust system volume
- Adjust the volume to the appropriate level and ensure the mute button is toggled to off
- Return to the training
Windows XP/Windows 2000:
- On the Windows Taskbar, click Start
- Select Settings > Control Panel
- Select the "Sounds and Audio Devices" Icon
- Adjust the volume to the appropriate level and ensure the mute box is unchecked.
- Click OK and return to the seminar
