Online Banking Center ruined! / Too many flaws

Cons: redesigned online banking center horrible!, qb2009 very slow!
"ONLINE BANKING CENTER: You have completely ruined Online Banking and the way we match transactions from our bank/credit card accounts. It is unusable! We need to be able to see and scroll through the account we are working on and match transactions that may be already in our account. We need to be able to view/access the actual account (checking/savings/credit card) while we are trying to match tranactions. Please revise. The new Online Banking screens are very bad and give me a headache using them. The old way was much more efficient and more user friendly. And, Online Banking Center performs very slow!
ONLINE BANKING CENTER screen: I cannot view the Online Banking Center Match Transactions screen(s). I use 800x600 resolution and the screens are way too big! I cannot see most of the information. The Online Banking Center Match Transactions screen(s) need to be formated so they also work using 800x600 resolution setting on my computer.
The new changes to the online banking center screens are not good. The screens are clunky and are not streamlined and simplified like they were before. I have to click around just to see basic information (like what payments are going to be sent out through bill pay). The screens (including the "match transactions" screens now have too much clutter and too many frames and to simply see the info I need is not possible. Please reconsider redesigning and going back to something more streamlined and easier to use. The old Online Banking Center screen and match transactions screens were simple and straightforward and very easy to use. These new screens are frustrating.
In Online Banking, the ADD TRANSACTIONS TO QUICKBOOKS screen is horrible! The different frames/windows is very difficult to work with. We need to be able to view/access the actual account (checking/savings/credit card) while we are trying to match tranactions.

"I can't say enough about how great the folks at Intuit are with coming up with solutions to make bookkeeping easier. This is by far the best version made yet. However, itis somewhat difficult to learn if you do not have basic accounting knowledge."

Cons: serious bugs, not recommended for manufacturing
"After using quickbooks premier 2008 for over six months and dealing with some of the surprising limitations, I eagerly upgraded to premier 2009. One of the new features is the ability to handle foreign currencies. This feature is attractive as we purchase and manufacture many of our products in Europe. Unfortunately, the currency feature doesn't work properly. I called support for help. They claim that many people are complaining about the bugs in the currency feature. In addition, the support person told me that 2009 introduces bugs in online banking. I have not verified that. Intuit is working to fix these bugs. How can Intuit release a product with features that don't work and bugs which affect older features? Also, Intuit doesn't offer any discounts on upgrades. So, every year, when a new version is released, existing customers pay the same price for the incremental features as new customers pay for the whole product. Intuit is the only major software company I know with that policy. The product experience with Intuit has been the worst of any product, including non-software, in my recollection. This is also my first ever review of any kind. A general problem with Quickbooks regards manufacturing. Quickbooks doesn't provide a direct way to capitalize services into the cost of a product. The only way to do it is to treat all such value-added services such as labor which goes into manufacturing or such as shipping as an inventory item which then goes into inventory assembly. I'm looking forward to a web 2.0 solution from an alternative software company. Then again, Intuit may surprise us with a new release which is commensurate with Intuit's resources and prices. You can decide whether you want ot bet on that."

"This software is extremely flexible allowing you to collect the data you need for managing your business (purchasing through the sales cycle), reporting on your financial position, and collecting data needed for tax preparation. As a CPA, I became a fan back in 1996 and have recommended it to all my clients. Its flexibility and customization makes it suitable for all small businesses. If there is a business process it cannot handle, there is an add-on that will complete the picture. I especially like the fact that you can zoom in on forms & reports to get the answers to customer inquiries, management questions, and investigate problems on. Buying QuickBooks does not make you an instantaneous accountant but it does a terrific job at doing the accounting for you. It is the best tool on the market and once you own it you be amazed at how much it can do and you will look for ways to learn more on how to make it work better for your company."
