Kane Munro knows this better than anyone and took our ProAdvisors through his personal tips and tricks to maximise productivity using the QuickBooks Online Accountant Work Tab. Here are his top three tips to start using in your firm today.

One team, one dream – personalised tasks, shared dashboard

When you go to Work (the new workflow tab) in QBOA you can see and manage every project in progress in your practice. Plan, assign and collaborate with your team and your clients through one shared Work dashboard and never miss a deadline again.

The best part is that your entire firm share the same dashboard, for insight into your productivity, but you can filter based on your own tasks and deadlines for focus and efficiency.

Recurring tasks – set and never forget

When it comes to managing your practice, you shouldn’t be bogged down in the tedious admin of scheduling jobs that occur all the time. We’ve updated the functionality in your QBOA Work Tab to create those reoccurring tasks with greater ease.

When it comes to managing your practice workflow, manage all the jobs you have on the go with Projects. This feature helps you track and automate those repeating tasks, like BAS statements or payroll, at the frequency you choose.

Turn projects into billable work – two birds, one stone

Now you’ve got project switched on, be sure to go into your account settings and connect projects to “your books”. From here, you can allocate tasks and time to staff members and then invoice your client for the time spent all from one screen.

So now you can focus on providing your clients with insights and ongoing value, instead of focusing on the systems required to run your business.
