Meet the PayPal team at QuickBooks Connect Melbourne

2 min read

We’re so excited to be hosting this year’s QuickBooks Connect in Melbourne. Accountants, bookkeepers, small business owners and entrepreneurs will be gathering together to enjoy this annual world-class event.

In addition to amazing speakers and innovative breakout sessions, you’ll also have the chance to connect with our app partners, including the talented team from PayPal. We sat down with Lisa Wade-Lehman from PayPal to find out why she’s excited to be joining us at QBC this year.

Tell us a little bit about PayPal

PayPal is the world’s leading open and independent digital payments platform. We provide value to our customers by focussing on making transactions safer and faster. We offer convenience and choice while still ensuring security.

The payers of invoices can pay via desktop or mobile, using their preferred payment method ie bank account, credit or debit card while also having peace of mind knowing that they are paying through a trusted platform.

How does PayPal work with QuickBooks?

There are a couple of ways to add PayPal as a payment option to an invoice. This can be done via “Apps” or directly from the QB’s dashboard. There are no monthly costs to use PayPal.  An additional benefit is that when a user connects their PayPal account to QB’s, their transactions will sync from the PayPal account into QB’s, this should allow easier and faster reconciliation, giving the user more time to spend on growing their business.

You’ll be exhibiting at QuickBooks Connect Melbourne on 30-31 May. Tell us more.

Come visit our team at QuickBooks Connect and learn how we can help your business get paid faster by offering a payment option from a trusted provider. PayPal is one of the most trusted brands in Australia. In fact, we have over 7 million active users on our platform.

We will also talk about two other products, namely PayPal Working Capital (PPWC) and PayPal Here (PPH).  PPWC is a loan facility that we offer to PayPal merchant customers. It’s very popular and frequently merchants return for subsequent loans. We will also demonstrate our in-store solution, PPH.  There is no lock in contract and allows tap and go, chip and PIN, magnetic swipe or manual entry payments for a low blended rate across Mastercard, Visa and AMEX.

What is your team most looking forward to at QuickBooks Connect Melbourne?

We love chatting to the attendees (whether they are small businesses, accountants or bookkeepers) and learning about the challenges that they face. Cash flow and the number of days it takes to get paid are some of the key challenges, and we love having the opportunity to share information about how PayPal can help minimise those pain points.

What’s on your team’s Melbourne to-do list?

Well we are from Sydney and love a bit of friendly rivalry with Melbourne.  Yes, they have great coffee but we have the best beaches! Seriously though, we won’t have much time outside of QBC to enjoy Melbourne but love visiting.
