Intuit Named a Top 10 Most Trusted Company for 2017

The results are in for Ponemon Institute’s 2017 Most Trusted Companies for Privacy study, and Intuit® was named in the top 10.

Now in its 12th year, the study highlights companies and federal agencies the public trusts the most to protect their most personal information. The survey is unique and objective, in that it’s independent of any company sponsorship, and is completely decided by consumers who self-select companies rather than choosing from a pre-selected list. This year’s report also highlights companies that have achieved a top 20 or better rating over 10 years, and Intuit was named one of six companies to do so.

“We strive to earn the trust and confidence of our customers and are grateful for this recognition of our efforts by the Ponemon Institute,” said Barbara Lawler, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP, chief privacy officer, Intuit.

Ponemon Institute, a privacy and information security research firm, said that the common denominator between these top 10 companies is a “strong orientation to respecting their customers and providing the best possible customer service.”

Here is the full list:

  1. Apple
  2. Amazon
  3. American Express
  4. IBM
  5. LinkedIn
  6. Facebook
  7. HP, Inc.
  8. Intuit
  9. PayPal
  10. US Postal Service (tied) and USAA (tied)

Intuit has been a member of the Ponemon Institute Responsible Information Management (RIM) Council since 2004. The RIM Council is separate from, but affiliated with, the Ponemon Institute (PI), consisting of privacy, security and risk experts that are focused on responsible information practices that companies may choose to implement.

Intuit is honored to be recognized with so many great companies, and will continue to work hard to protect its customers’ most sensitive information, as well as get you the customer service you need and deserve.
