Searchable so you can see trends
Custom fields are searchable, so you can see trends by key data points. For example, you can search or filter on something as granular as the sales representative—and then generate a report for just that sales representative, showing their sales over a certain time period or their contact rates.
Choose what your customers and employees see
You have control over what information you want your customers or vendors to see, and what you can see internally. For example, you may want to track a metric that classifies a customer for your own business needs. The customer does not need to see that information, so when you set up the custom field you simply do not select the option to “Show to customers.”
