What’s New in QBO: February 2018

2 min read

It’s February, that in-between time when the holiday fun is over and it’s not yet spring. For some of us, this is the season to take a vacation to somewhere tropical to get warm in the sun, or head to the mountains and cruise down the ski slopes. Fortunately, QuickBooks® Online allow you to work from anywhere so you can squeeze in some fun time! Here are the latest product updates to help you with tax time and getting paid faster.

New! Simplify Tax Time With New Reports in QuickBooks Online

To make tax time easier, we’ve expanded the reports available in QuickBooks Online. Now included in Simple Start – Trial Balance and General Ledger reports! As these reports are necessary for conducting audits and filing taxes, we’ve made them available in all three versions of QuickBooks Online. Additionally, recently launched 1099 Transaction Detail Report will help business owners better manage tax season with their contractor and freelance workforce. This report gives users visibility into all the information that’s needed to file a 1099.

At a glance, users will be able to see each service provider and his or her associated transactions, if the 1099 threshold has been met, and if all the information needed to file a 1099 has been captured and is correct including the individual’s tax ID. Being able to see all this information in one report will expedite tax prep and enable you to get back to running your business.

New! QuickBooks Invoicing for Gmail

With QuickBooks Invoicing for Gmail it’s easier than ever to invoice customers! If you use Gmail, you no longer need to jump between email and QuickBooks Online to create an invoice. Users can send professional, customized invoices within Gmail and offer easy online payment options. All your current customers, products, services, and invoices show up in Gmail, and any invoices you create in Gmail will be saved in QuickBooks Online, too. Everything stays up to date without the extra work! It’s also easy to track when the invoice was sent, viewed, paid and deposited. QuickBooks Invoicing for Gmail allows users to invoice as part of their daily workflow. That way you can spend more time making money and less time tracking it. Learn more
