And The #MyQBSuccess Winner Is…

1 min read

Small businesses shape our communities, grow our economy and are a primary driver of innovation. At Intuit, it’s our mission to fuel entrepreneurial success in Canada and make sure that each and every entrepreneur nationwide has the tools and support they need to help make Canada the best place to start and grow a business.

Recently, we asked small business owners what success means to them through our #MyQBSuccess contest, giving entrepreneurs across Canada the chance to win $10,000 to put towards their business. After reviewing each submission, we’re so heartened to see what drives Canadians to pursue what they love. Every submission was a reminder that success is personal, and there’s no objective definition. In that spirit, we’re very excited to finally share out the winner of our Small Business Contest.

Alison Dixon, owner of Every Blooming Thing Florist on Vancouver Island, left the corporate world to be her own boss and make a career out of doing what she loves. To her, success means helping to make her customers’ most important life events special. Alison has recently brought her business to the online world – an increasingly popular and necessary decision for Canadian business owners in today’s digital-first world.

Being in Victoria, BC hasn’t stopped Alison from reaching a wider national customer base. In 2017, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to operate from anywhere, achieve true flexibility and reach a global market. If you’re considering entrepreneurship, there’s no time like the present. We encourage you to keep sharing your #MyQBSuccess stories with us on Twitter @QuickBooksCa. Congratulations, Alison!
