Using Community Outreach to Network or Build Your Client Base

Few marketing campaigns are as satisfying as community involvement endeavours. You get to rub elbows with both potential clients and peers while donating time and resources to a worthy cause. Non-profit organizations gladly welcome the help from business owners in fundraising efforts, and to show their appreciation, they often return the favour. These entities may choose to do business with you and readily refer similar organizations to your firm for products or services. If you can’t get out of the office for an event, donating to or sponsoring youth sports teams is a great way to get your name in front of a large audience. These charitable donations also help offset business income, reducing your taxes owed to the Canada Revenue Agency.
