What Is a Yes Man?

By Lois Leonard

0 min read

A yes man is someone in an organization who agrees to every request or approves every proposal. Yes men typically do not share their personal opinions. They never disagree with their superiors, only telling them what they want to hear.

According to small business speaker Barry Moltz, yes men think more about themselves than your business and most likely don’t pay attention to the concerns of your customers and their co-workers. As a small business owner, you need employees who can be honest when they disagree with you on business matters and can help brainstorm ways to make improvements. When hiring employees, evaluate them on their capacity for offering the useful criticism you need to grow your business.
