Streamline Collaboration and Work Processes With an Upgraded Note-Taking App

1 min read

If you’ve always heaved a sigh when you need to take notes at a meeting because you don’t like the hassles of carrying around notepads and having to transfer notes to your laptop to send to others, your frustrations are over. Several upgraded note-taking apps are available to make life easier for the small-business owner and facilitate collaboration with your partners, clients, and employees.

You probably already use Dropbox to share files with collaborators, but have you started using Dropbox Paper? This app lets you create everything from notes to graphic designs, with embedded support for Sketch, Figma and InVision. You can preview large documents before diving in, which speeds up your workflow, as does Paper’s ability to display images, spreadsheets, videos, code, and even Spotify playlists. The fact that Dropbox Paper is fully accessible from iOS and Android mobile devices keeps you fully connected with collaborative work while on the road.

If you’re working on a Windows device, Simplenote makes it easy to keep your thoughts in order. Notes are searchable, and you can tag them and pin them for quick accessibility. Other note-taking apps for your small business include Evernote Business, which lets your teams collect, organize and share notes and other data for productive collaboration. Google Keep is another terrific app that helps you stay organized on the go. You can jot down notes via voice command, set time-based reminders, share notes with others to speed up your to-do list, tag notes by color and other attributes, and search quickly and efficiently.

Other entrepreneurial tools include those that facilitate business card capture, credit card processing, filing expenses, and managing your social media feeds. Taking advantage of note-taking apps and other tools keeps you on top of things as a small-business owner even when traveling.
