Personal References

  1. Ask how long the reference has known in the applicant.
  2. Pose open-ended questions to avoid yes or no answers.
  3. Ask if the applicant is trustworthy.
  4. Determine the type of relationship between the two parties.
  5. Try to gauge the sincerity of the respondent.
