What else changed in the program?

We’ve updated several components of the program, with a focus on benefits, ways to earn points, and your in-product experience. In addition, we re-named the tiers and added more benefits.

Why did Intuit make changes to the ProAdvisor Program?

Over the last year and a half, we’ve invested heavily in listening to member feedback, struggles accountants face in growing their business, and global accounting industry trends. The re-imagination of the program provides the most requested benefits by members while also fulfilling the mission of the program itself: to help ProAdvisors grow their firms and skills to help their clients’ succeed.

What is the Elite Tier?

We’ve re-named our tiers to better recognize and reward our top accounting pros, including new benefits to power your firm’s growth.

Points

How are my points calculated?

The new point system was crafted to recognize the work you do and give you more flexibility in moving up the tiers and unlocking new benefits. Points are calculated based on your current achievements. To earn points, complete the following:

●    Connect with a QBO client – 50 points per client

●    Attach client Online Payroll – 50 points per client

●    Complete QBO Certification – 100 points

●    Complete QBO Advanced Certification – 200 points

●    Complete QuickBooks Desktop Certification – 100 points

For full details about how to earn, visit the ProAdvisor Program

Where can I see my points balance?

You can see your point balance at any time by logging into QuickBooks Online Accountant. Login now.

Do my points expire?

Your points do not expire, however, your balance changes when the action that earned them is no longer valid. For example, if you have 50 points for an attached QuickBooks Online account, and that account is deleted, then those 50 points will be deducted from your balance.

How are my points calculated for my Desktop Certification?

As long as your firm has a QBOA account, you are eligible to receive 100 points for every member holding a current desktop certification. If your QBOA firm has 5 advisors holding the most recent certification than you would receive the equivalent 500 points. Available certifications can be found inside QuickBooks Online Accountant.  Login here .

Grace Period

What is a grace period?

The grace period is an opportunity we offer to members affected by a downward tier movement. The grace period starts when your point balance drops below the required level for the tier you are in. During the grace period, members maintain their access to current benefits and discounts for a determined period.

Tier drop – 90 days

Your points balance changes when the action that earned them is no longer valid. For example, if you have 50 points for an attached QuickBooks Online account, and that account is deleted, then those 50 points will be deducted from your balance.

If a change in points results in a downward tier movement, you enter into a 90 days grace period. For 90 days, members continue to enjoy current benefits and discounts.

If you recovered the missing points, during the 90 days, you continue to stay at the current tier; otherwise, you will be in the tier corresponding to current account status.

Online Advanced Certification – one year grace period

We recognize your expertise and appreciate your effort. The new point system was crafted to recognize the work you do and give you more flexibility in moving up the tiers and unlocking new benefits. Points are assigned by recognizing the growth of your client base and your professional growth. To support the growth of their business, ProAdvisors holding an advanced certification and dropping tiers due to a smaller client base, will have access to Platinum tier benefits and discounts, for one year, starting December 12, 2018.

Launch grace period – 6 months

ProAdvisors affected by a downward tier movement, due to the change in the ProAdvisor Program, will have access to current tier benefits and discounts for 6 months. After the 6 months grace period, ProAdvisors will be placed in the tier corresponding to current account status.
