Using Your Time Wisely With Productivity Apps

2 min read

Regardless of what type of business you run, if you want to be successful, you need to be productive. However, with all the distractions around you, being productive is sometimes easier said than done. You need to have a strategy and some productivity apps to help you block out these distractions and focus on what you’re supposed to do.

Wunderlist is an easy-to-use productivity app that lets you create lists such as a to-do list. It is available for all electronic devices, and your information syncs across these devices automatically. For example, you can add items to Wunderlist with your smartphone when you’re on the road, and when you’re back at your desk, you can access these items on your computer.

With Wunderlist, you can keep track of all the task you need to do, give each task a due date, and add notes related to the task. You no longer need to waste time to figure out what you’re supposed to do each day.

Evernote is more than a note-taking app. It is more like a vault for your information, including text, images, and voice memos. Evernote is available for all devices, and your notes are automatically synced across devices.

You can create notebooks for various purposes in Evernote. For example, you can have one notebook for your meeting minutes and another for scanned business cards of people you meet. You can share your notes with other Evernote users and collaborate on work. The search feature of Evernote allows you to search for information easily.

Dropbox is a storage service that lets you store your files online and access them on your computer, smartphone, and tablet. This productivity app is very handy if you work with people in other offices or areas. For example, if you need to give a computer file to a team member whose office is in another city, you can put the file in Dropbox and send a link to the other person who can then download the file by clicking the link.

Nothing can sabotage your productivity like losing your data. You can use Dropbox to back up your computer files online. If the hard drive of your computer breaks down, you can access the files in your Dropbox on any computer with an internet connection.

Asana is a productivity app that makes it easy for people to collaborate. You can create projects in Asana and break each project up into smaller tasks. You can then assign these tasks to your teammates so everyone knows what to do for the project.

In addition, people can leave comments and notes or upload files related to a task and share them with other teammates. This keeps all communication with regards to the project in one place and greatly reduces the number of emails sent and received. Since Asana is available on all devices, people have access to the information even when they’re on the go.
