Did you know that you may now access your QuickBooks Self-Employed account on the web? Unlock the full power of Quickbooks Self-Employed with the web version. Get tax time ready with the same great features you already use on mobile plus a few new ones when you access on a web browser. You can do your tasks on the go with the app and easily organize and categorize your transactions on the web.

New Quickbooks Self-Employed Web features include:

  • Sorting transactions in seconds
  • Adding sales tax to multiple transactions at once
  • Sharing receipts with your accountant

Sign in to get started.

Sort transactions in seconds

  1. Sign into Quickbooks Self-Employed.
  2. Select the Transactionstab to see all of your transactions.
  3. Select the expenses you want to categorize with the left hand check boxes
  4. Click the Businessor Personal button in the black bar that appears above your transaction list
  5. If you categorize an expense as Business, the most likely category will appear in the category column. To select another category, click the category name of an individual transaction or use the left hand check boxes and top black bar to re-categorize multiple transactions at once.

*If you want to see transactions from your bank, make sure you connect your bank account. You can connect multiple bank accounts.

To connect your bank, click on the gear icon on the upper right hand corner. Click on “Bank Accounts”. Click on “Connect a Bank” and choose the bank you want to connect with Quickbooks Self-Employed.

Easily apply sales tax on multiple transactions in seconds

  1. Sign into Quickbooks Self-Employed.
  2. Skip this step if you have set up sales tax already: To set up sales tax, click on the gear icon on the upper right hand corner. Click on “sales tax set up” and select the province you registered in for sales tax.
  3. To apply sales tax to multiple transactions at once, go to the Transactions tab (you will see it on the left hand side panel).
  4. Select the transactions you want to apply sales tax to by ticking the check boxes on the left and select Applyon the black bar that appears at the top.

How to share receipts with your accountant

  1. Sign in and click the Reports tab
  2. Find Receipts, select the tax year
  3. View the report or print, download or email the report to yourself or your accountant.
