Google Analytics lets businesses track certain metrics, including number of visitors and amount of time people spent on the website, related to their websites. To set up Google Analytics for your small business website, take the following steps:
Click the Sign Up button.
Enter an account name, your website name and the URL of your website.
Select an industry in the Industry Category drop-down list and select your time zone.
Customize your data sharing settings if necessary, and click the Get Tracking ID button.
Accept Google’s terms of service.
Copy the tracking code.
Add the tracking code to the pages where you want to track the statistics.
