Q: What is the QuickBooks Affiliate Program?

A: The QuickBooks Affiliate Program allows you to make money by referring customers to our Web site. You do this by placing links on your site. Every time you refer a customer to us through your site and that customer makes a purchase, you earn a commission.

Q: How do I sign up?

A: First, you must read and accept our QuickBooks Affiliate Agreement. Then, you complete our online application form. After your application is submitted, we will contact you to let you know if you've been accepted as a QuickBooks Affiliate, and we will provide you with information on how to get started.

Q: Is my Web site eligible to become a QuickBooks Affiliate?

A: Anyone can apply to the program, as long as you have a Web site and an interest in assisting small businesses. We especially encourage individuals and organizations such as small business associations, accountants, and small business services providers to apply to become QuickBooks Affiliates. While we are accepting applications from all interested parties, please note that at this time we are not able to accept all applicants. If you are not initially selected as a QuickBooks Affiliate, we encourage you to apply again at a later date.

Q: Does it cost me anything to become a QuickBooks Affiliate?

A: No! It's absolutely free to join our QuickBooks Affiliate Program. There is no charge to apply and there is no minimum sales requirement.

Q: Can a Web site outside the United States be a QuickBooks Affiliate?

A: At the present moment, we are only accepting Affiliates located within the U.S. We hope to be able to open the program to international applicants in the near future.

Q: I operate more than one Web site. Can I still be a QuickBooks Affiliate?

A: Yes. You can have multiple sites as a QuickBooks Affiliate. You can have one Affiliate account with us that will include all of your sites. You can track the progress of each of your sites separately and be paid with only one commission check.

Q: What are my responsibilities as a QuickBooks Affiliate?

A: The only thing you are responsible for is using the authorized marketing materials we provide you in your online QuickBooks Affiliate Toolkit and placing a link on your site. We handle everything else.

Q: What are QuickBooks' responsibilities?

A: We will provide you with the tools and support to help you maximize sales through your site. We also handle orders, shipping, and billing for all customers you refer to us.

Q: I don't have a Web site. Can I still apply?

A: Unfortunately, no. In order for us to accept you as a QuickBooks Affiliate, we must be able to view your Web site.

Q: How do I change my account information?

A: Once you have been accepted as a QuickBooks Affiliate, you will be given access to your personal QuickBooks Affiliate Toolkit Web site. Your account information can be modified through this site.

Setting Up Links

Q: How do I create links?

A: Creating links is easy. All you have to do is go to the QuickBooks Affiliate Toolkit and follow the step-by-step instructions. The site has an automatic tag generator that will create HTML for you to cut and paste into your Web site. It is so easy to use even beginners can create links in seconds.

Q: Where should I place the links on my site?

A: You should place links where they are easy for your site visitors to find, such as your home page. Some areas you may want to place your links include your home page, your navigation bar, and any other traffic areas. If you place the links in an easily accessible location on your site, your visitors will be more likely to make a purchase.

Q: How often should I update my links?

A: You should update links to our products frequently. We are constantly adding new products, so you should create new links that fit the interests of your visitors.

Q: Can I use your content on my site?

A: You may use the logos and content we license to you. However, you may not use logos that have not been specifically licensed to you. We will not be able to track your earnings and pay you the commission you deserve if you use a non-authorized logo or content.

Tracking, Payment, and Reporting

Q: How do I know how much commission I've earned?

A: When you are accepted as a QuickBooks Affiliate, you will be able to earn a commission up to 10% of sales for every sale. Through the QuickBooks Affiliate Toolkit, you can access reports, that provide information on impressions, click-throughs, orders, shipments, and commissions earned.

Q: How often do I get paid?

A: We will send you a check for a percentage of the sales you referred to our site every month, provided you earned more than $50.00 The QuickBooks Affiliate Program reserves the right to withhold payment until such time as such affiliate's aggregate commissions exceed $50.00 USD.

Q: Do I earn commissions on my own purchases?

A: Yes! When you buy products from us through your Web site, you earn the same commission on your purchase that you would from a visitor purchase.

Q: How can I monitor my sales?

A: You can monitor your sales by accessing reports as often as you like through the QuickBooks Affiliate Toolkit site.

Q: Who processes orders and handles customer service?

A: It's easy! We do all of that for the customers that you refer to our site. All you have to do is place links on your site. We do the rest!

Q: How will you know that the orders came from my site?

A: All links from your site to our site contain a unique identifier so that every time a user comes to us via your site, we know to credit you when a purchase is made. This is only possible, though, when you create all of your links with the approved logos on the QuickBooks Affiliate Toolkit site.

Q: How often can I run reports?

A: You can run reports daily if you wish. Your QuickBooks Affiliate Toolkit site is updated daily with the latest information about your site.

Q: I operate more than one Web site. Can you track them separately but pay me with one commission check?

A: Yes. You can have multiple sites under one QuickBooks Affiliate account. You can create links and generate reports specifically for each site, but you will receive one commission check for all of your sites.
