You've reached the right place to get your question answered.
QuickBooks Online makes it easy to add users and I'm excited to show you how. In your case, you'd have to add a user with more than just access rights to the projects function. At this time, QuickBooks Online doesn't have an option to add a Projects user. I'll make sure to send feedback about this to our engineers.
When you have a minute, check out this helpful article which goes over user access and how to add them to your account https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Manage-subscription-and-users/Understanding-user-types-and-p.... If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
When will this be possible?
we have branch managers and project managers.
Why can't QBO provide access by Class /Location? this should be a high priority for the development team since it makes the current set up options very very inefficient.
I want to make sure we're on the same page. You're looking for access to just the Class/Location?
That is correct.
Salespeople - can see their projects
Branch managers - can see all relevant class projects.
user permissions is something every QBO user that is not an owner-operator company will need
Thanks for responding to my colleague's question, D- G.
At the moment, we're unable to limit your Sales people's access to Projects and your Branch managers access to all relevant class projects only. They must at least be a Standard user with limits to Customers.
For more information about user access in QuickBooks, you can refer to the article about understanding user types and permissions.
