Re: Deleting Quickbooks Desktop

Welcome to the Community, bardiamond1.

I'm here to help with any questions you may have regarding your QuickBooks Desktop.

You can uninstall QuickBooks Desktop to remove the program on your computer. However, please make sure to create backup copies of your company files just in case you need them in the future.

Here's how:

  1. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Back Up Company.
  3. Click Create Local Backup.
  4. Choose Local backup.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the location for the backup copy.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Select Save it now, and click Next.
  9. Click Save.

For additional insights about uninstalling QuickBooks Desktop, I'm adding the article I suggest on this:

Create backup of the QuickBooks Desktop company file.

After creating backup copies, you can now proceed with uninstalling the QuickBooks program on your computer. You may need to access Programs and Features through the Control Panel section to perform the process.

Please visit the article below and follow the detailed steps on uninstalling the program (scroll down to Step 1: Uninstall QuickBooks Desktop):

Using clean install for Windows.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you with your QuickBooks. The Community will always have your back.
