How to change your email address

Has your email address changed? Updating your email address is easy.

  • If you still have access to your old email you can log into QuickBooks Online and follow a few simple steps to update your email address.
  • If you no longer have access to your email, check out the Email change request.

 

How to change the email address associated with your user ID

  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.

  2. Under Profile, choose User Profile.
  3. Choose Profile.
  4. In the Email address section, select Edit.
  5. Enter your new email address and password.
  6. Select Save, then Done.
  7. Confirm the change by using the activation link in the email that’s sent to your old email address.
If you are a QuickBooks Online Accountant user:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.

  2. Under Your Company, select Your Account.

  3. Choose the Personal profile tab, then select Edit personal information.
  4. Under Your Sign In Information, select Change sign in info.
  5. Select Continue, then it will prompt you in the sign in page.
  6. Enter your credentials then Sign in.
  7. Select Profile.
  8. Under Email address section, select Edit.
  9. Enter your new email address and password, then select Save.
  10. There is a confirmation message that your information has been updated, then select OK.

 

How to change the email address associated with your business

  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.

  2. Under Your Company, select Account and Settings (or Company Settings).

  3. Choose Company from the menu.
  4. In the Contact Info section, select the Pencil icon.
  5. Enter your new email address in the Company email field. (Note: Check the box for the Same as company email, if it's the same email address that you use for your sales forms).
  6. Select Save, then Done.

How to change the email associated with a location (for location tracking)

  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.

  2. Under Lists, choose All Lists.

  3. Select Locations.
  4. Choose the location you want to edit, then from the drop-down list on the action column, choose Edit.
  5. Check the box for This location has a different email address for communicating with customers.
  6. Enter your email address, then select Save.

Once you save your changes, your email address will be updated on our servers.
