What is the best way to account for the PayPal fees when you process a sales transaction if you customer pays you through PayPal? Please, nothing that involves an app.

Hello,

 

What kind of transaction are you entering in QB?  A Sales Receipt? an Invoice?

 

Typically you would enter the full amount of the sale as income then add a negative amount thats linked to the expense account.

 

Example:

 

Sales Income Item = 200.00

Paypal Fees: -2.50

 

Total Payment from customer: 200.00

Total amount of deposit: 187.50
