So for our reordering purposes it would be helpful if the components of the assembly showed up as on sales order once the assembly is posted to a sales order. Sometimes the assemblies do not get built for some time after the sales order is created and since the components do not show up as on sales order they will not show up on the reorder report even though what will be left is below the min/max. Just wondering if there was a way to make this happen. Thanks in advance!

QuickBooks Desktop is unable to display the components for every item in the assembly. Only the assembly name will show up on a sales order once the inventory assembly is posted in a transaction.
There is a group items feature in the program where it includes the components on a sales order. However, I encourage consulting with your accountant first. He/she might have specific instructions on how to properly handle your inventory assembly items.
