Printing W2's

Please tell me how to print W2's that I have already filed.  Also, how do I get to the menu, which I am told that I have to do that first.  I really need help with this.  Thank you.

Re: Printing W2's

You can print the forms from the Home Page, Mugsstory.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click the Process Payroll Forms icon/menu.
  2. Choose Annual Form W-2/W-3 - Wage and Tax Statement Transmittal
  3. Click Create Form.
  4. Click View/Print forms & W-2s.
  5. Click OK.

You can also check out this article for details: Print W-2 and W-3 forms.

That'll do it. Please get back to me if you have other concerns. I'm here to help.

Re: Printing W2's

I'll show you two different ways to print them, Bobsig.

When filing W-2's, QuickBooks automatically saves them inside the program as PDF copies. To print the copies, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click Employees at the top.
  2. Select Payroll Tax Forms & W-2s, and then select Process Payroll Forms.
  3. In the File Forms tab, go to the Filing History section.
  4. Go to the Saved Filings sections, find the form, click the link below the Saved PDF column and print from there.
  5. For the e-filed forms, go to the E-Filings tab, and then select the form.

If you don't see the forms there, then the option to automatically save them wasn't selected. We can reopen the actual form inside QuickBooks to print the copies.

Here's how:

  1. From the File Forms tab, open the Annual Form W-2/W-3 - Wage and Tax Statement Transmittal.
  2. In the Select Employees for Form W-2/W-3 box, click the Print/E-file button.
  3. Select the Print button when a new box appears.

I added screenshots too.
