How to add prior payroll information?

I'm setting up my payroll. I need to add the previous (2018) payroll information for all my employees. How can I do that?

You can enter them as regular paychecks or create a year-to-date entry,  Chilanguiux.


Just make sure to edit the dates to 2018 so it will be recorded as last year's payroll transaction. Please follow these steps:


  1. Go to the Help menu and click About QuickBooks.
  2. Press CTRL + ALT + Y altogether.
  3. Click Next thrice and until see the Set Up YTD Amounts window.
  4. Select an employee and click Enter Summary.
  5. Change the date to 2018 and enter the payroll information.
