It is possible to print the paystub for older months that no was set up payroll

Hi, Lugom1.

I can help and provide you with the steps in printing pay stubs for older months via QuickBooks Online.

To print pay stubs for older months, you may want to set up the payroll information first and make sure to select the correct dates when running payroll.

Steps to run payroll:

  1. Select Run Payroll.
  2. Select the Pay group you want to run payroll for, and select Next. (If you only have one pay group, it will already be selected as the default option.)
  3. You will notice that you enter information for Hourly employees & Contractors first.
  4. (Running Payroll for the first time? If so follow this step, if not skip to the next.) Select your First day of the pay period, Last day of pay period & Pay date, then select Process.
  5. Enter the applicable Hours under the respective Income types. (Tip: You can add or remove available Income type columns from the Gear icon above Edit columns.)
  6. Select Next.
  7. Repeat steps 1-6 to pay your Salary Employees. (Tip: If you do not wish to pay an employee on a pay group, you can change the Pay? toggle button to Off.)
  8. Before submitting, review each employee details to make sure the information is accurate and all your employees are accounted for. To see details on a particular pay cheque, select the View Details button.
  9. Check the box confirming that you have properly reviewed all information and that your payroll is approved and ready for processing.
  10. Select Approve.

After that, you can follow the steps below to print them.

  1. From the left menu, select Employees.
  2. Select Run Payroll.
  3. If you use more than one pay schedule, select the schedule to use for this payroll run, and then select Continue.
  4. Select the direct deposit icon for the employee.
  5. Select Paper cheque in the window.
  6. Enter the employee's paycheque info.
  7. Select Preview payroll, and then select Submit payroll.
  8. Enter the cheque number. (The cheque number is required only if you're printing on blank cheque stock.)
  9. Select Print paycheque to print the pay cheque. (Note: You won't see the Print pay cheque button until you choose what to print the pay cheques on.)
  10. Select Print to pay stub to print only the pay stub and hand write the cheque.
  11. Select Finish payroll.
