Thank you for joining the Community. I'd be happy to help get this taken care of today.

 

Since you filed the W-2 forms outside QuickBooks Online, the system doesn't recognize that they're already sent. Currently, we don't have an option to remove the payroll task on the Dashboard for W-2 copies A and D unless they are submitted electronically.

 

In the meantime, I recommend calling our Payroll Support to assist you further. They have the tools to check your account and remove the payroll task forms for you.

 

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to http://payroll.intuit.com/support/contact/.
  2. At the top right, select your Payroll Subscription type.
  3. Under Free Live Help, you'll see their contact information.

That should point you in the right direction today.
