QuickBooks Advanced Reporting (QBAR) lets you use your QuickBooks data to create interactive reports and gain better insights into your business. The feature is included in your QBES Full Service Plan and works with QuickBooks Enterprise 2014 R6 and higher.
If your QuickBooks Enterprise is Hosted by a third-party such as Right Networks, you will need to contact your hosting service and have them do the following:
Important: Only an Admin user on the Windows system can run the QBAR installation.
You need to sign in as the QB Administrator or ask your QB administrator to edit your role to give you access to QBAR if you receive the following error while trying to open QBAR:
If you'd like to use this feature, ask your QuickBooks Administrator for access.
Here’s how to give a user role access to QBAR:
Update your QuickBooks to the latest release if you’re trying to update Advanced Reporting with the latest data from your QuickBooks company file and you receive this error:
Sorry! Advanced Reporting couldn't update your report. Please try again.
If the latest release does not resolve the issue, remove any parentheses, brackets or apostrophes in the company file path or file name by renaming folders or file, then re-open the company file and run Advanced Reporting. You may also change the date to follow the standard format: MM/DD/YYY.
If you continue to get the error after following these steps, contact QuickBooks Support. If the problem persists, we may need to upload and send your QuickBooks company file to our QBAR team for research.
Note: The last version of QuickBooks Advanced Reporting (QBAR) released for QuickBooks Enterprise 14 was 1.4.1. Versions 2.6.2 released for QuickBooks Enterprise 15, will not work with QuickBooks Enterprise 14. If you have both QuickBooks Enterprise 14 and 15 installed on the same computer, you will only be able to use QuickBooks Advanced Reporting with QuickBooks Enterprise 15.
