Have anyone tired it? Have there been any issues? I have a customer that wants me to do that and they currently have QB Premier 2016 running on that server without any issues even though Server 2012 isnt listed as a certified OS.
hi @wasim767 ,
Refer to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/QuickBooks-Desktop-system-requirements/m-p/201... , I noticed Intuit (only) recommends Windows Server 2012 R2 since QuickBooks 2017. You should share the link to your client.
Similar to Windows 7 with various version, I don't recommend you to try install QuickBooks 2019 on Windows Server 2012. You might install it successfully but your client should prepare to get certain error later. Some features might need certain components in R2.
Hi there, wasim767.
QuickBooks 2016 is compatible with Windows Server 2012. The 2019 version on the other hand is only tested in the Windows Server 2012 R2 version.
Please refer to the article shared above to see the complete list of Operating Systems required for QuickBooks 2019.
