upgrading from desktop

I have tried to upgrade but my data is held on a network drive. I have copied the ACO-QB.QBW file to my cdrive in a subdirectory but I still get the message data file held on server. Do I need to do anything else?

Hey there, BrianACO.


You'll have to restore the company file so QuickBooks will recognize the new folder.


Here's how:

  1. Click File.
  2. Go to Open or Restore Company.
  3. Choose Open a company file, then click Next.
  4. Look for the file in cdrive, then click Open.
  5. Click the Save drop-down arrow, then choose a location on where to store the file.
  6. Enter a file name, then click Save.
