If enable preference is turned off, you won’t be able to unmark expenses as billable. Follow these steps to turn the enable preference on.
- Select the Gear icon at the top then Account and Settings (or Company Settings).
- From the left, select Expenses then under Bills and expenses, check if the following are turned on:
- Track expenses and items by customer
- Make expenses and items billable
- If they are not, turn them on:
- Select Off.
- Put a check mark on the Track expenses and items by customer and Make expenses and items billable boxes.
- Select Done.
