I've recorded it as rent but this comes up as a disallowed expense ?

Rent would usually show as allowable. This may be affected by something else within your Tax Profile. Do you have access to Facebook or Twitter? If so, could you please send us a private message with your email address and a screenshot of your Tax Profile so we can look into this further for you?
