How do I transfer the QuickBooks file from online to desktop version?

The data export feature can help you with this, brandon10.

Before you proceed with exporting your file to the Desktop version, you might want to review the requirements and limitations first. These will guide you through a successful process. Then, don't forget to configure the Internet Explorer's security for export as this is the default browser for QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Internet Explorer browser.
  2. From the menu bar in the upper right-hand corner, click Tools and select Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab on the Internet Options window.
  4. Select Trusted sites, click the Sites button, and then uncheck the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone box.
  5. Add *.intuit.com to the trusted sites and close the Trusted Sites window.
  6. Uncheck the box for Enable Protected Mode.
  7. Click Apply, and then Okay.
  8. Close the browser.

Now that the browser's security is all set, you'll just have to run QuickBooks Desktop and Internet Explorer as Admin, and you're good to go. You can refer to this article for the steps to start exporting your file from QuickBooks Online to the Desktop version: Export your data.

Don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for dropping by.
