A wonderful day, gbarbera.
QuickBooks Online Plus can only send invites for two accountant users and an additional five users.
Here's how to add an accountant:
Let your accountant check the email sent from Intuit to add your account to their client list.
Have a good one!
Which versions of QBO allow accountant invites. A new client has sent an invite twice which I've never received. I'm not sure but they maybe using QBO Self-employed.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @dso0216. I'm here to lend a hand with accepting an Account invite.
Both QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) offer access to Accountant Users. The steps are similar, but somewhat different, and am including articles with additional information for both products:
I suggest reaching out to your client to ensure that they have the correct email. I'm also including an article that covers troubleshooting a person not receiving the invitation: Why Did my Invited Users Not Receive Their Email Invitations for QuickBooks Online?. While the article is designed for QBO, much of the information and steps are relevant for QBSE.
These resources are a good place to begin when not seeing an invite from a client.
Please feel free to let me know how it goes or if I can be of further assistance. Cheering you to continued success.
Thank you DavidSC. I inquired of the client regarding the which QBO version he is using. Turns out it is essentials. I have several clients on essentials and have never had an issue receiving an invite. Not sure why I'm not receiving this particular clients invite. He has the correct email. And by chance he did not wouldn't he receive an error message?
Hi there, @dso0216.
Thank you for getting back to the Community and share more details about your concern today. Allow me to help share some ways to get your client's invitation.
To start, I suggest checking your email format to make sure it's correct. There shouldn't be any extra spaces, such as the beginning or end. It can also be good to type the email out, instead of copy and pasting it.
Next, please check your junk or spam folder. It's possible the invitation might be in there. If you're able to find them, I recommend adding @intuit IP address into your mail server. This way, it allows our emails to pass through.
The following article contains the detailed steps depending on your email service provider: How to make sure you receive important email messages from Intuit.
Once you finish checking everything, you can ask your client again to resend the invitation. For more details, I recommend checking this article: How to add, delete, or change a user's access.
That should point in the right direction today. Drop me a comment below once you tried the steps above to receive the client's email invitation. I'll be happy to help you further. Have a great rest of your week.
Thank you MaryGrace I reviewed my spam numerous times and added the do_not_reply email to safe sender's list and follwed all steps in listed for the Office 365 Outlook. Still nothing. He has sent the invite 3 times so I'm reluctant to ask he send again unless I'm sure the issue is resolved. I don't understand why the invites are randomly unable to reach me when all have in the past.
Hello there, @dso0216.
I appreciate you for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've performed in your end. If I may ask, have you tried using a different email address in sending the accountant invitation? If not yet, please do so.
If the issue persist, I'd recommend sending a message or scheduling a callback with our Customer Care Team. A specialist will be able to further check on the root cause why you're unable to received any accountant invitation email.
Stay in touch with us here in the Community if you have other questions about sending accountant invitation. I'm always here to help.
Nice to have you in the discussion, @abundance8. I'd be glad to provide clarification on Accountant invitations.
QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced are all able to invite two Accountant users. For additional insight into user limits, such as how many billable users are allowed, please see the following article: User access in QuickBooks Online.
I'm confident this information will get you back to business.
Should you have any questions about users, or anything else, please let me know. Have a good day.
