Entering a Sales Receipt doesn't Remove Item from Inventory?

EDIT: Turns out, I didn't run a report correctly, just can't delete the post.


In doing a spot check inventory audit, I find one item (there are probably more), that the sales receipt selling said item did not remove it from inventory.  It tells me I should have 6 in stock, but in reality I only have 4.  In looking at my purchase and sales reports, I have purchased a total of 9 of these items over the last 3 years and sold 5, which is accurate compared to my POS reports and the 4 remaining on the shelf.  So...why isn't it removing 2 of them from inventory?
