Formatting the Sales Receipt window in QB Desktop

I am working in QB Pro Desktop.  I have two businesses that I work with.  One business the sales receipt window has an option on the top that allows me to choose where the money is deposited (see attached document).

The 2nd business does not have this option in the sales receipt window and I would like to know how to add it.

Hello, meshmash.

 

Your second company might have been set to track money directly to Undeposited funds. That’s why you don’t have the option to choose where to deposit the money. Here’s how to correct this:

 

  1. Click Edit at the top. 
  2. Select Preferences at the drop down field.  
  3. Go to Payments from the left menu. 
  4. Go to Company Preferences tab. 
  5. Removed the check mark on the box next to Use Undeposited Funds as a default deposit account. 
  6. Click OK.
