H202 error

We seem to continually get an H202 error even after we fix the situation with our IT person.  Do updates cause it to keep popping up?

Re: H202 error

Thanks for sharing your concern here in the Community, @LLS.

You've got me here to help you get past the H202 error that you receive so you can get back to business.

The error H202 means that something is blocking the multi-user connection to your server. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fix. But before doing so, make sure that you sign in into your server computer as a user with admin rights.

There are different steps to follow depending on the way you host your company. These are the following:

  • Hosting your own network.
  • Hosting your own network with Windows Server 2012 Essentials R2.
  • Using QuickBooks Enterprise Hosting.
  • Using another hosting solution.

For complete details in performing this process, you may refer to these links:

If the problem continues after trying these steps, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They can run a screen-sharing session that can check on your QuickBooks and verify the cause of this issue.

Please let me know how things turns out. I'll be around to provide further assistance. Have a good one!
