How do I view my 1099 as an accountant

I am a bookkeeper and I opened my business in January of 2018. My clients have e-filed their 1099s but I can not view them. I received an email saying that they were ready but it doesn't take me to the 1099 just a self employed  account that needs to be set up

Thanks for joining the Community, Gminor87.

I’ll be your guide, so you’re able to view your clients e-filed 1099s.

When logging in to the 1099 E-File Service website, you’ll have to use the same User ID and Password for Intuit Account. This is to ensure that you can access the account.

If you're not sure if you have an Intuit Account, use the Forgot User ID feature to retrieve the credentials associated with the email address. Once you have the information handy, let's go ahead and access your account to view the forms.

If you have several clients, make sure to open the correct one to view the forms.

Please keep me posted with the result. I want to make sure you're taken care of. Have a good one.

I am not trying to view my clients 1099. I'm trying to view my 1099.

Re: How do I view my 1099 as an accountant

Hello, @Gminor87.

Thanks for the clarification. Allow me to chime in and help where you can access your 1099.

Since you've already received an email that your 1099 is ready, you'll need to log in to a QuickBooks Self-Employed account. You can use this free account to access your info and view your 1099s at tax time. To learn more about the access, please check out this article for more details: 1099s in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Then follow the steps below to get your 1099-MISC form:

  1. Click the Get your 1099 online button.
  2. Sign in using your QuickBooks Self-Employed login credentials.
  3. Click View 1099.
  4. Click the Download 1099 button so you can print for your copy.

This will get you on the right track. I'll be here to help if you have additional questions about your 1099. Have a good one.
