Import not working

Going to import with Desktop for Mac and just keeps doing backups.  Before importing it says must do a back up first.  After done, go to do import and it wants to do a backup again.  It never gets past doing a backup. I've a dozen backups of the same file but no ability to import. View of backup settings attached.

Running OS Mojave v. 10.14.4 and have 2019 QB Desktop for Mac, purchased in last week or so.

I have iif files to bring in on a daily basis.
