Multi user problems

We've been running in Multi-user mode for years.  We recently moved our data to a new workstation (that is used as a fileserver) and kept the programs on our individual computers.   (We moved ALL data in an effort to centralize our backup - but we're a small company, so we didn't buy a full-blown fileserver).  Now, our (2) workstations continue to lose their connectivity to the company files in multi-user mode.  Every few days, the multi-user mode stops working.  Has anyone else seen this problem?

We have a few reasons why a connection can be lost, Jrasphalt1st.


Here are causes:

  • The network connection is unstable.
  • The file/folder where the file is saved needs additional permission.
  • The firewall is blocking the access over the network.
  • Power saving mode is turned on.
