Payroll

I brought back an employee that had been laid off since 12-1-18.

When I go to "Pay Employee's" and get to his window to generate his first pay check for 2019, it is showing his YTD numbers from last year. I lay this employee off every winter and have never had this problem before.

Re: Payroll

Good day, @lake_disposal.

I can help figure out why your employee's paycheck this year was showing YTD numbers from last year.

It could be that you used last year's date on the paycheck by accident. Before we run a well-data checkup, you'll need to verify first if you've used the correct date for the paychecks.

If all dates are correct, then it's possible that this is a data issue within your company file. We can resolve the paycheck discrepancies by running the verify and rebuild tool. Please check this article for the detailed steps: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

Keep me posted how the steps went. I'll be here to help you further if the YTD number on the paycheck is still showing. Have a good one.
