Save a refund without processing through Quickbooks

I issued a refund last week, but our card reader is not set up through Quickbooks, so it isn't allowing me to save the transaction. I need to know how to properly save the transaction without messing up my deposits.

Re: Save a refund without processing through Quickbooks

Hello there, Triple E Tire.

You can create a refund receipt and I'd be glad to guide you how.

  1. Click the Plus (+) icon.
  2. Select Refund Receipt.
  3. Choose the same product/service you are refunding and enter the exact amount fo the refund.
  4. Fill out the necessary fields.
  5. Hit Save and close.

Once done, you'll be able to save a refund in your QuickBooks.
