edit template labels

Is there a way to edit a template's labels (change the text)? (Specifically, remove "past due" from aging on statements.)

Re: edit template labels

Hi there, Mike_MHP.

You can delete the "past due" text through the Layout Designer option. Let me show you how:

  1. Double click on the Statement template to edit and click Additional Customization
  2. Make sure that the Aging Summary is checked to show it at the Footer section.
  3. Click Layout Designer at the bottom.
  4. Scroll down until you'll see the Footer part.
  5. Double click on the 1-30 Days Past Due field to open the Properties window.
  6. Remove Past Due and then click OK
  7. Do the same thing to the rest aging period.
  8. Once done, click OK to exit from the customization windows. Layout 1.PNG

Re: edit template labels

There's definitely a way to do that, Mike_MHP.

You can customize the template of your statements to remove the past due date.

Like this:

  1. Click Lists at the top, and then select Templates.
  2. If you have an existing template for statements, double-click to open it.
  3. If not, open the Intuit Standard Statement, and then click the Additional Customization button at the bottom. If prompted, click the Make a copy button.
  4. From the Additional Customization page, go to the Footer tab.
  5. Uncheck the tick box for Show Aging.
  6. Click OK twice.

Once done, create a sample statement to verify that the past due aging has been removed.

If you need a hand with customizing other templates in QuickBooks, just let me know.

Thanks for your response,  I do appreciate it! But,  I want to edit the label text,  to remove "past due", not remove the whole past due section.
