I'm considering setting up QBO Payments. However, as I go through the setup wizard, it looks like I can only receive funds in one linked account. However, I want to receive funds (in my case, rent) in different accounts depending on the tenant. Can someone confirm whether this is possible in Payments? Is there a workaround or will Payments just not work for me? Thanks in advance!
To my knowledge only one account can receive deposits with QBO Payments. You could simply provide the ACH banking information to the tenants for the account you want the rent payments to be deposited into and then create a rule in the QBO bank feed for those rent payments/deposits to be automatically categorized to the income account for those rent payments. Then have all other types of payments/deposits go through QBO Payments connected to the other bank account.
