Hello, I am setting up my first company on Quickbooks Online. I imported my chart of accounts from a template. I now need to add a new account manually. However, the following "buttons" are not showing up on my screen Add New / Edit / Delete/ Register/ Report/ Print/ Assign Account numbers. How do I get these to appear? My screen doesn't look like several other screenshots I have seen for the Chart of Accounts.
I would appreciate any assistance here.
When you view your chart of accounts, at the top right there should be a green button with "NEW" on it. When you click on that, you should see the attached screenshot, and then fill in the blanks. If you need help on how to classify, I can help.
Also, remember not to put in an amount under balance. Instead, fill that in with any corresponding transactions. (hope that makes sense...that part can get a little tricky to understand)
