Hello there, @kgar.

When importing transactions using a CSV file, there are few things to consider.

Since you've chosen the 3-columns format, let's ensure that each column matches with the titles in QuickBooks. Also, make sure to indicate during mapping if you're using the first row as header.

In addition, review date format and currency symbols and commas used in the CSV file. It's best to keep the amounts column as simple as possible. You can remove the currency and other special characters on the file.

For more detailed information, you may refer to this articles: Common errors for importing bank transactions using CSV.

Lastly, to isolate and verify if the error you've receive is browser related, let's apply the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online account using an incognito or private browser:
    • Google Chrome, press CTRL  + Shift + N
    • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  + Shift + P
    • Internet Explorer: press CTRL  + Shift + P
    • Safari: press Command + Shift + N
  2. Your browser’s history can cause some odd errors and may affect its performance. If you’re able to log in and import your transactions, you may want to clear the cache of your regular web browsers.
  3. Also, you may consider using other web browsers
  4. Lastly, to check any issues with your browser’s health and its compatibility with QuickBooks Online, you can run the Browser Health Checkup Tool.

thanks for your answer. But it didnt help. As I mentioned before, I dont know a lot about IT. But a friend of mine helped me yesterday and I thought I post it as it might be helpful for others. When I open my file with open office it said comma seperated. But when my friend opened the file with Editor, there were semicolonsnd, he repalced these through commas and then it worked.

Still dont understand why but at least this solved my problem.

Sorry for mistakes, I am not english

Hi kgar,

Would you be able to give us more details about the placement of the semicolons, so we can explain to you what happened?

I got an article about importing transactions in a CSV format in addition to the references given by Juviel above: Import bank transactions from CSV to QuickBooks.

Thanks in advance.
