QB just doesn't get it. If we wanted advance we would have already signed up for it. Flashing a banner in our face just pisses me off. I am really considering going back to the desktop version. The product QB is offering is just to expensive for me.

Wise choice. Desktop appears to me to be better in almost every way.

If you're referring to the in-product pop-ups, this doesn't have an option to turn off these messages. This is one way of Intuit to promote new the latest QuickBooks version.
In the meantime, I recommend clicking on the X or No, thanks buttons. This way, the pop-ups will keep from showing up again.
