Join nowGoPayment has just started letting us take credit card tips. The only problem is how to run a credit card tip report vs sales on a daily basis so I can see how much in tips I need to pay out. There is absolutely nothing clarifying this or even addressing this. Nobody with QB that I have talked to can tell me.
Welcome to the Community, Pitmaster.
I'm here to take care of you. Let me help you run a report for the credit card tips from GoPayment.
If you've assigned a specific account for the credit card tips then, we can pull up the Transaction Detail by Account report. This report lists individual transactions, subtotaled by each account on your chart of accounts.
Here's how:
To provide a visual point of reference, I’ve included a screenshot below.
If the payment and tips were recorded using the same account, we currently don't have a report that'll show their breakdown. I suggest contacting our Merchant Services Team Support. They'll be able to help you get the data you need.
You can find their contact information through this link: QuickBooks Merchant Services.
I'd like to make sure that you're able to resolve this concern, so please let me know how it goes by posting a comment below. Best regards.
I tried running that report, but all I got were column headings; no numbers at all. I also just got off the phone with support. There is NO WAY to run a report to distinguish sales, tips, and tax. I don't want to be paying sales tax on tip amounts. The fact they let this version of GoPayment to be released without the capacity to run a tip report on a daily basis is inadequate, to put it mildly.

Hello heazim,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I'd be glad to help run the payroll report in QuickBooks Online.
You can run the Payroll Summary by Employee or Payroll Detail report to show the total tips and taxes on your employees. These reports in QuickBooks can be filtered to the specific period that you need for the paychecks.
Please refer to the screenshots below for your guide:
For additional insight into the payroll reports, such as for employee and the employer, I'm adding the article that I recommend:
Please know you can always come to the Community for all of your reporting needs. I'll be keeping an eye out on your response.
